Lately, I have gotten in the phase of playing and replaying this song. (I get in many phases--My Jack Johnson phase last autumn, the Ke$ha phase a few months later, then my OneRepublic phase, etc etc :) ). This song came out just a few weeks ago, so it's relatively new.
And when I tried looking for the official music video (which I didn't end up finding), I instead ran into this lyric video which was better than I expected! It really looks like effort and creativity was put into making it, so much so that you can be easily fooled into thinking that this is the official video that Gym Class Heroes and Adam Levine made (I'm now even a bigger fan of Adam Levine than before thanks to the great show The Voice; he just seems so nice!). ;) Also, I love this song because it's unlike the many others on the radio that talk about the same themes (love, heartbreak, etc.), which one can get tired of at some point. Even though this song does address love as its theme, it does so in a way that makes the tune stand out--through the expression of love for music itself, for the times you hear a tune that moves you to the point that you choose to admire it as well as tthe person who brought out that same aura. I hope you enjoy this video (and song) as much as I have! :) ~~MC P.S. Happy happy Father's Day! :D

6/8/2011 0 Comments Masterpiece on a SidewalkSo on the same day that I made my first visit to Bauhaus Books & Coffee (which I will talk about in a future Foods for Fantasizing post), I ran into this sign sitting on the sidewalk (alliteration alert!) right outside a boutique. I found it so completely and inexplicably adorable that I could not help but share it with you all, just to make your broad smiles a little broader. :)
First, it's an adorable sign because it's written in French...Anything to do with France makes me giddy as a kid who has just gotten a free ice cream cone; and that utter happiness was brought up even more when I noticed it was written in pink! Pink! Now what's a happier color than that? :D Also, the sign made me happy because it reminded me of my sister whose eternal loves include cupcakes and shopping...So I took a picture of this fusion of her two pleasures done in playful pink, and sent it to her by text (the same picture you see here)... I actually didn't know what kind of boutique this sign belonged to, and I guess I could have easily found this out by looking to my right as I walked by...But since I was distracted by the cute thing sitting quietly on the sidewalk waiting to be noticed, I barely even stopped to wonder what the purpose of the sign actually was! So I present to you a picture of what I think can put a smile on your face...Or your sister's in particular, if it's in my case. :) Because sometimes the happiest things can be found in the most ordinary places. Have a lovely day filled with cupcakes and chalk-drawn oeuvres d'art! ~~MC |
